So, summer has officially begun and I've spent my first very summer days by cleaning my room and packing. I know, it sucks, right?
Today I did go to beach with a friend of mine. She literally begged me to go with her, because she wanted to get some tan and it was sunny outside. I did't get excited about the idea because it was really windy outside as well. Also, in Colorado it is really warm so wouldn't have bothered to go. But I gave up and we drove to there. We bought ice cream and then went to lay on the beach, which was nice, I have to admit. In the beach there was a creepy guy who just stayed there doing nothing and sometimes watched us... It was really creepy...
I went to 7 different graduation parties last saturday. I was supposed to go to 8 - but unfortunately, I didn't make it to the last party. It was crazy - I had high heels so I had always change shoes when I went to drive and to the party. But food was incredibly delicious and I ate a LOT.
It feels weird to go back because I have been in Finland more than 10 months and I think that a lot has changed since I left. My best American friends have lived in Washington DC for a year and they went a college there. We all have been really busy and sometimes we didn't have time to skype. So, I guess we will have a lot catch up to do. Also, I got a new host brother. His name is Kyle and he is almost two months old now.
It feels like I will have another cultural shock when I go back. This kinda feels the same when I left for Finland.. I´m nervous but at the same time I can't wait as well! I haven´t kept in touch with some American friends of mine and I don´t know if I will get along with them well.. But to talk the truth, I know that everything will go alright and when it's time to go home, I don't want to leave Colorado.
